Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) increase due on 1st October has been delayed....


The Immigration Health Surcharge is currently applicable to migrant workers from outside the European Economic Area (EEA), if they are entering the UK to study or work for period of more than 6 months.

The Immigration Health Surcharge was due increase on 1 October 2020 from £400 to £624, UKVI has indicated that the fee will increase on 15 October 2020 although it could be delayed further to an even later date. Non-EEA migrant works are advised to complete their applications before the increase takes effect. From 1st January 2021, the Immigration Health Surcharge will also apply to new migrant workers from within the EEA. A reduced rate of £470 (currently £300) will apply to students, their dependents, Youth Mobility Visa holders and anyone under 18 years old.
